Now that Valentine's Day has passed, you may be tempted to pass by the Love You Always Suite on pp. 10-13 of the January – June Mini Catalogue. But the True Love Designer Series Paper caught my eye from the very beginning, and I had to have it.  The black-and-white designs are so versatile, whether it's the patterns for some background layers, or the lovely, large flowers that are perfect for colouring in.  I adore black, white and a pop of colour on cards!

This card is CASE'd from Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team member Narelle Farrugia.  I used her colour scheme and layout, though I changed up the sentiment...because I didn't buy the stamp set and dies from this suite!  I only bought the DSP and the Matte Black Dots, and I'm OK with that.

The colour on this card is Bumblebee.  We don't have Stampin' Blends in this colour but I found a combination of Light So Saffron and Light Mango Melody Stampin' Blends Markers worked to get the tone/shade I wanted.  I used a Blending Brush to add ink in an ombré pattern to the Basic White layer.  I also touched the brush to the strip that has Birthday stamped on it so that it would stand out from the circle a bit.
