When you first look at this card, you think it will open from the bottom like most cards do. But no, you have to slip off that decorative belly band and then SURPRISE! … the card opens from
the centre! Once you learn how to make this Surprise Fold design, I know you’ll use it to make cards for all your friends.

Christmas Gleaming Class Series
This class series will run October-December 2020, and will give you complete instructions to make 5 designs each month, plus an optional group assembly session via Zoom.
Written Tutorial: $15 per tutorial. Each tutorial includes step-by-step instructions, pictures, and measurements in both centimetres and inches.
Participants must have:
- Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle - stamp set, punches and Designer Series Paper
- Heat Tool
- Ink pads: Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Versamark.
- Embossing Powders: Gold and Silver
- Basic card-making kit: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Bone Folder.
- Each tutorial will require some additional materials that will be specified, with substitutions suggested.

Q&A: Embossing an Envelope?
Q: I tried to emboss the flap of my envelope and the Folder just shredded it. What a mess! I saw a picture where someone had done it…what am I doing wrong?
A: Our Embossing Folders, especially the 3D Folders, are designed for cardstock, so using them on envelopes is a little different. Lay a piece of copy paper over and under the flap, then set in the folder and emboss … you may even need a second sheet. Once you get the right number of layers/thickness for that folder, you’ll have beautiful envelopes every time!
