Tool Tip: Paper Trimmer Maintenance
Our Paper Trimmer is engineered to be the
best on the market for making precise, sharp cuts. But to keep getting the best takes a tiny amount of periodic maintenance. Any time your blade doesn't glide as smoothly as it should, or leaves you with a fuzzy edge, try these steps before replacing
your blade: - Run a toothbrush along the cutting groove, removing accumulated paper debris.
- Use a de-gunking cleaner like citrus oil, eucalyptus oil, Goo-Gone or WD-40 to clean the surface of the trimmer and both sides of the blade guide.
- If you tend to cut only in one direction (e.g., always start with the blade at the top) take out your cutting blade, rotate it 90° and reinsert.
Eventually you will need to pull out a fresh, new blade, but hopefully these tips will keep you cutting cleanly for a long time.
Extra Reasons To Join My Team
Choose any $283 worth of products but only pay $169, and get free shipping...that's $48+ extra reasons over the regular starter kit offer to join during the month of June! And how about getting a 20% discount on your future orders...sound good? Here's how it happens: you
sign up to be a member of my team. But what is the catch, you are asking? Nothing. You don't have to sell to anyone else or purchase any more than you want to. You will have the benefits of being a demonstrator until at least
the end of September, longer if you reach the minimum in sales to remain a demonstrator each quarter. If you’re interested in learning more details, give me a call at 0424 968 039.
Technique: Simple Stamping with a Mask
Use a circle die or punch to make a mask, then add ink by blending and stamping. Super simple, super fast, super effective!
Q: I've seen lots of great projects using multiple colours blended with the Blending Brushes...how many do I need? Do you have one for every colour? A: I don't have one for each colour; instead I've dedicated brushes to dark blues, reds, light pinks, magentas, etc. When
starting a new project I take a minute to swirl out any excess ink left on a brush onto scrap paper, and then I don't have to worry about what specific shade was last used on the brush. They can also be rinsed with water and a drop of dish soap if you want, but be aware that they take quite a while to dry due to the density of the bristles.
Since our brushes come in packs of 3, I suggest starting with one package of either the Large Blending Brushes or the Small Blending
Brushes and see how you go.
If you're in Australia and not working with another Demonstrator, I'd be happy to fill that role for you! Just click on the button and complete the form and I'll get one into the mail. |
